Image Board

Startup Guide on how to use the IMAGE BOARD feature in AkuShaper

The key step to imaging a board is to find a board with the right pixelation and orientation. An image of a single board works best.

To start:

Open the Shaper and open a new board (similar to the image board design. I.e. a longboard file for a longboard image)

Navigate to the File -> Image Board -> Outline

You will be asked to search for the saved image board file

Find the image you would like to use and double click the image to load the image into the Shaper.

Hold down the T and N keys and click on the nose to square up the image with the design board

*HOLD DOWN T & N AND CLICK ON THE IMAGE, NOT THE DESIGNED BOARD. THAT WILL ORIENT THE IMAGE CORRECTLY

*Hold N or T and click in the opposite direction you want the image to move

From there, begin to drag the control points to fit the image board shape. You may also need to adjust the dimensions to get a better fit of the shape

Add points if needed:

Once your desired Shape is achieved, save your file.

IMAGE BOARD (PROFILE)

You can also image a Profile (rocker) into an existing shape. Follow the same steps as before except this time, navigate to the Top/Bottom tab to see the cross profile image (rocker.)

You will need an image that lines up with your design. Adjust the image until it lines up with your design.

Hold down the N & T keys and click on the image, not the design. The profile will align to the shape.

*Hold N or T and click in the opposite direction you want the image to move

Adjust the top and bottom until the desired profile is achieved.
