A start up guide on how to best utilize the Help Menu in the AkuShaper shaping software

REPORT A PROBLEM OR ASK A QUESTION

This is the best tool to get in direct contact with the AkuShaper software team. If you have a question, detect a bug, or need help, this option is your best friend. Our entire team receives these reports and we always respond within 24 hours. 

After you click Report A Problem or Ask a Question, you will receive the following prompt box:

Please fill out your name, your email, and a description of the issue or question. If available, please always include the Board (your design so we can have a closer look, the blank if you are using one, and the Machine Standard Settings which helps us detect the cutting paths and look for errors. HIT SEND and the report goes directly to the AkuShaper team. 

If your computer is not connected to the internet, Create a Zip File to save the report and send to us later. 

Choose a location to save the report to, and email it to use from a separate computer, tablet, or phone. 

DO NOT HESITATE TO SEND US BUG REPORTS, ASK QUESTIONS, OR PROVIDE FEEDBACK. This is how we get better as a software company. 

CHECK FOR UPDATES

Checking for Updates is a quick way to find out if you are running the latest version of AkuShaper or not. We make updates to the software periodically so this is a good tool to check for the latest software upgrades.

If you are up to date, you will receive the following message after clicking on "Check for Updates":

If you are running an older version of AkuShaper, you will receive the following message:

By Clicking "Download" you will be redirected to AkuShaper.com to download the latest version. 

KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS

AkuShaper keeps a running list of keyboard shortcuts that we often update. To access the full list of keyboard shortcuts, select the Keyboard Shortcuts option in the Help Menu. The following list will be displayed:

HELP

By Clicking HELP in the HELP MENU, you will be redirected to our AkuShaper Support Articles page. 

TUTORIALS

By clicking on TUTORIALS in the HELP MENU, you will be redirected to our tutorial videos on YouTube. We add new videos frequently so check back often. 

UPDATE YOUR BILLING

You can update your billing information directly from the Shaper. If your card has expired, is not up to date, or you wish to purchase a separate plan, please use the Update Your Billing option. You will be redirected to AkuShaper.com to update the information. 

VIEW LOG

We keep running logs of all actions taken in the software
