Toolbar Functions
Startup Guide on How to use AkuShaper toolbar keys
Zoom Box
Zoom Box: Draw a square around the area you want to zoom to work in a closer proximity
Zoom Fit
Zoom Fit: Revert back to full view from the zoom position
Add Point
Add Point: Add additional control points using this key. Points must be added at the bottom outline of the design. *Tip: Zoom In & Place control points close together to create wings, beak noses, and channels.
Points can be added in the Outline, Slices, Top, and Bottom tabs
Undo - Redo Keys
Undo - Redo Keys: Use the back and forward keys to undo a change or redo a change
Add Guide
Add Guide: Guide points are added to use a reference point from an existing shape. Or to make marks along an outline to plot out a new shape. To add points, use the Add Guide key in the tool bar. To manually enter points, use the Guide Points tab in the tool bar.
T Rocker - N Rocker Tools
T Rocker: Move the entire Tail rocker up or down using this key in the Top/Bottom tab
N Rocker: Move the entire Nose rocker up or down using in the Top/Bottom tab
*Use the Up and Down arrow keys to control the movement of the rocker
How to use the N Rocker - T Rocker Tool
1:1 Ratio Tool
1:1 Ratio Tool: Used an alternative, zoomed out design perspective. The corresponding guide at the top allows the shaper to take incremental measurements of a design
Ft - cm - mm - ft (decimal) - Ft / mm Keys
ft-cm-mm-ft (decimal)-ft/mm Keys: These keys are used to toggle between different units of measurements
*In the Change Dimensions box, keys can be punched in using a .25" method or a 1/4" method. It does not matter which you use
These functions can also be controlled from the Dimensions tab in the toolbar.
Arrow Key Controls
Arrow Key Controls: Control the position of your design using these keys. You may also use the arrow keys on your keyboard.
Zoom In/Zoom Out - Left/Right Arrows
Zoom In/ Zoom Out: Manual zoom keys
Left/ Right Arrows: Pan an entire design left or right with these arrows
Spot Check
Spot Check: Clear all board information for a clear view of your design. Works when zoomed in
Point Movement Size
Point Movement Size: Change the size of the adjust increments for fine tuning critical parts of your design
0.1 mm = Ultra Fine 1.0 mm = Medium 1.0 Pixel = Heavy movement
Nose Right
Nose Right: Flip your design the other way for an additional design perspective
This feature will also remain active in the Top/Bottom tabs:
Show Rocker Upside Down
Show Rocker Upside Down: Flip your design upside down for an alternative design perspective
This design key will also allow you to make adjustments to the top outline in the Outline tab, as opposed to working from the bottom outline of the board.
